A new era begins...
Audra Smith formerly the Head Coach at UAB was recently named the head coach of the Clemson Lady Tigers. Over the past three years Coach Smith led the Blazers to the most number of wins over a three year span in the program's history. Under the guidance of Coach Smith the Lady Tigers are poised to once again become a power player in the ACC! coach smith announces the hiring of two staff members.
Both Coach Oliver and Coach Wilson come with Coach Smith from UAB and will be a great addition to the Lady Tigers. Both have extensive coaching and playing experience at the college level, and have been successful in both endeavors. Notable: Coach Oliver played ball at Richmond under Coach Winieki (currently Associate Head of the Clemson Men's Team), earning CAA Tournament MVP honors. Coach Wilson was a four year letter winner the University of Minnesota, also earning All Big-Ten honors in one of the toughest conferences in the nation.

it's camp time!
The Lady Tigers will be holding a summer basketball camp once again this summer. The dates are as follows: Team Camp June 21st-23rd and Individual Camp June 24th-27th. AAU Shootout will be June 29th. Go to the link for more information and to register!

Coach Ard and Coach Becker both come to Clemson with impressive resumes and extensive basketball experience. Coach Ard comes to Tigertown from Troy University where she served as an Assistant Coach, prior to that she was Assistant at Pensacola State College. Coach Becker rejoins Coach Smith, Oliver and Wilson after working with all of them at UAB. Coach Becker is familiar with the level of competition in the ACC playing at the University of Virginia up until 2002, she also served as a graduate assistant under Pat Summit at Tennessee from 2002-2004. For the second consecuitve year Kelly Gramlich earns Academic All ACC honors with an impressive 3.9 overall GPA. Way to go Kels!! The Lady Tigers work just as hard in the classroom as on the court.

The Lady Tigers continued their winning streak on Sunday against Boston College. After losing to the Eagles earlier in the season Clemson pulled out a 64-61 victory that came down to a missed 3 PT attempt by BC at the buzzer. Junior Quinyotta Pettaway led the way with 21 points. Sophomore Nikki Dixon scored 19 on 9-13 shooting. Aisha Turner stole the ball and converted a lay-up with under a minute to go to seal the victory. Click on the picture for the highlights...
